The structure and function of the baffle plate of the film blowing machine

The baffles of the film blowing machine are made of brass plates. There are two of them, one on each side between the No. I and No. N rollers of the calender. Their function is to adjust the distance between the two baffles according to the amount of material used and the required width of the product before the calender is produced, so as to control the movement of the molten material into the roller position.
Figure 4-32 shows the working installation position and movement of the baffle. The diagram illustrates the structure of a common baffle used in a four-roll calender. The baffle is secured to a support frame by screws. A nut is located in a hole in the upper end of the support frame and fits over a screw in the crossbeam. When the screw rotates (manually or with an electric motor), the nut drives the baffle left and right, resulting in varying distances between the two baffles.
